During the past two years, the world has been confronted with an unprecedented pandemic with the Covid-19 and air transport has suffered the worst turbulence in its history. AMES, the joint venture between AFI KLM E&M and Safran Nacelles, the leading expert in composite and metallic repairs in the Middle East, has been able to take advantage of this period to develop not only its capacities but, also its activity thanks to an adapted positioning.
From the 20th release of the Fan Stator Module GE90-115 since February 2020, to the implementation of major repair capabilities for the nacelles of the A320neo equipped with LEAP-1A engines and the development for the complex shop operations including Inner Fix Structure and Beams replacement of the Trent 700 thrust reverser, AMES has confirmed its ambition to be a major player in aerostructure maintenance in its area.
For all these reasons, by mid-2021, AMES was able to reply positively to the needs of airlines operating in the Middle East. The figures clearly show this dynamism, with a 2.5-fold growth in turnover compared to 2019 and a substantial increase in staff sizing.
